Our first unit is Patterning and Sorting.
Your child will:

* identify the attribute (colour, shape, size, direction, etc.)
* create and continue a pattern
* describe the pattern - tell what is changing (attribute)
* label different patterns with letters or numbers
* indentify the pattern core (part that repeats)
* find the missing part of a pattern
Parent Tip:
Have your child create different patterns with objects at home (blocks, books, fruit, lego, cards, stickers, marbles, etc.). Talk about the patterns (pattern core, labels, missing part, etc.).
